Lodge at Seven Oaks

Luxurious, indeed, but not so safe

Years at this apartment: 2009 - 2009
Interior: These apartments are only several years new, so come with updated appliances, plenty of closet space, computer niches and Berber style carpets. I love the interior of the apartment. It may not be of the highest quality (i.e., it won't last for years and years), but it is new and attractive. There is also a basic gym and pool which are very good. The grounds are beautiful.
Parking: Pretty good, though if I return home after rush hour, I have to park as far as 3 blocks from my apartment. I think the Lodge should specify visitor parking at a remote site, or limit the number of cars per family. Better, the Lodge should have made more parking spaces to begin with, or make more now. There are also reserved parking spots and free standing garages for additional charge, in the range of $75-150/month.
Safety: The worst part about the Lodge. When moving here, I debated between the Lodge and other apartments in the Piney Grove area. I knew the latter area would be safer, but the Lodge's apts were so much more attractive. I don't regret my decision, but the Lodge really needs to work on protecting her tenants. There is a theft about once every 3 months. Cars and apartments have been broken into, and wheels have been stolen off of cars. To my knowledge, there have been no rapes nor physical injuries.
Cost: Pricier than most, but over all worth it. Active duty military gets a discount.
Staff: Most are usually helpful and pleasant, except for one brunette in the office who is curt and rough around the edges. She pisses everyone off.
Other: I was notified that a AN ------- AMERICAN MAN IN A RED TOW TRUCK HAS BEEN SCANNING CARS AT NIGHT WITH A FLASHLIGHT. HE IS LIKELY LOOKING TO SEE WHICH CARS ARE GOOD TARGETS FOR THEFT. IF ANYONE SEES THIS MAN/TRUCK, PLEASE NOTIFY POLICE.
