We should have known that when we moved into an apartment with no pantry shelves that we were in for an experience. Over the next six months my fiance and I spent over 5000 dollars in medical bills and lease breaking due to the TOXIC mold living in our walls and under our carpets. One month after we moved in our cieling literally came in when a pipe burst above us and for over a month we had a hole in our ceiling. When they finally came to fix it they did not cover any of our bedroom set, ruining linens and our bed. When we went to the leasing office begging them to fix the 2nd flood in 6 months and explaining the mold we found to them we were ignored. We were sick because of the mold and their solution was to stop repairing the issues with the flooded room because they were releasing toxic spores in the air. We found the mold and had to move within two weeks. I was sick for 6 months straight and have not had so much as a cold since moving to our new place. Please do not subject your families to this.

I lived at Shelter Cove for 2 years and found the place despicable. Management only cared whether you pay your rent "On Tine". The management team provides only lip service and as I recall should they find an employee willing to help I found they never remained in employment for long. Problems I experienced were roaches, mildew, broken toilet and yes mold but the roaches...yick!!! I submitted an article sometime ago and like you should management discover your identity you can kiss your deposit good-bye and any rental assistance good-bye as well. I believe management companies have changed several times in the past 3 years...Go figure!!! I wonder what rental fess are today. All the best to those that are wise to leave or adhere to comments on apartment ratings. Hopefully your misfortunates like mine will turn into a windfall for someone else considering renting Shelter Cove units.
