I have now lived at Tamarron apartments for a few months and my feelings on the place are very mixed. The location is great because you can walk to the shopping centers and it is also pretty quiet with no major roads nearby. Maintenance does a good job of keeping the complex clean and fixing up the place as well. Its by far the nicest looking complex in the area.

But there are several things that are really starting to bother me. First off, we have had alot of trouble getting maintenance to come and fix things in our apartment and the people in the leasing office have not been too helpful when we needed something. I was also told when I moved in that their were not too many teenagers lurking around. But on warm nights, I have seen quite a few kids sitting on the stoops of the buildings.

For the money we are paying, I was expecting to live in a safe complex with competent employees. That doesnt seem to be the case. I could have saved $400 a month and lived 10 minutes farther south on Georgia for the same atmosphere. I also dont like the fact that there is no gym at the complex or any other nice amenities. They told us we would get a discount at the local gym but it was very minimal and the gym still cost 30 bucks a month or so. So I suggest looking elsewhere for an apartment.

I understand no one wants people loietering around there apartment but thats what happens when you live in an apartment/townhome community so you really can't complain about that. Unless you go to an even Richer area and pay more rent than you are paying now. There are just too many people living in one area for it not to happen. You should be happy they are only loitering and probably doing the things most of us did as kids and be happy you don't hear gun shots at night and have cars stolen at least once a week (like many places in PG and DC. I mean..they are kids..what do you expect them to do? That IS what kids do! Are they saying/doing something to hurt you? Is it really that serious and annoying that they are sitting outside of the aparments that they live in too?? Other people pay rent here, not JUST you! People who live in Olney are very lucky! There is very low crime rate (you have to remember no matter where you go there WILL be some kind of crime so you just have to deal with that), quiet community, and good schools close by. Also, you knew before you moved in that there was no fitness center so how could you complain about that. And then say that the discount they offer for the Fitness First isn't much of a discount...well, they didn't have to offer any discount at all! So be thankful and not so picky. Then you complain about how much your rent is - you are in OLNEY! Of course your rent will be higher! So the only thing I can agre with that can be an annoyence is the comment about maintence taking too long to fix things and the rental office not being so helpful. Besides that...you already live in a very safe area and are complaing about little dumb ---- so unless you want to pay more to live in something even more expensive and secluded (which I highly doubt since you are already complaining about how much you pay now) stop being so ungrateful. Also, think about the location in Olney...you live behind 2 shopping centers so there will automatically be more kids walking around that area. I THINK YOU ARE DUMB!!!

Kids loitering, no gym, please give me a break, I bet if you lived in Nob Hill, or Northwest Park in Silver Spring, MD you will realized how lucky you are !!! Atleast you don't have the problems, with roaches, mice, rats, drug dealers, gun shots etc. or a slum landlord. Count your blessings !!! Olney is a nice area, Yes expensive, but you get what you pay....
