I have lived in AGII for 6 years. When I moved in it was a great deal. Nice, clean apartment, nice community. Times have changed. I now call it the Ghetto Plex. The complex is located between 2 high crime complexes. Management has refused to put up a fence to keep the criminal element from the large complex (and those of us who live here know which complex that is) out. Over the last 3 weeks there have been 2 armed robberies (people held up at knife point) in the parking lot. Management does not let us know these thing, nor do they try to protect us from it. Also, I live facing the parking lot and constantly hear car stereos blaring, neighbors fighting, etc. I have been awakend on many occasions by loud, domestic arguments in the parking lot. Sometimes it's like watching an episode of Cops only it's live.

Since the long time property manager left last year, the maintenance is poor (you have to call a minimum of three times to get someone to come and fix things) There is no closet space and the kitchen is too small to move around in. The apartment sized washer/ dryer is not efficient (takes 3 hours to dry a load of clothes) The gas and electric bill is astronomical because they do not have energy efficient appliances. It costs more to heat the apartment in the winter, keeping the thermostat at 65 degrees, than it costs to air condition it in the summer at 70 degrees. Also, they do not allow the installation of satellite dishes. They say that they do, but it cannot be visible, so there is no way to get reception without a visible dish.

I will be getting out of here before my lease is up.

Wow...I just moved out in April. Everything that was said here is absulutely true! I know about the crime firsthand because I was the victim of a house robbery. Management was so nonchalant about it, it literally made me speechless. Nobody warns residents of the crime in the area, but if you read the police blotter in the Sun paper, you'll see incidents of crime in the area. I would encourage anyone considering living there to reconsider. That complex has gone way down. I only lived there for 2 years and I am glad to be gone! There are way nicer complexes in the area. I was paying nearly $1000 a month to live in AGII by the time I left(it started out at $800!). I have found a very nice apt complex about 3 miles from there, the apt is 3 times bigger and the rent is $25 cheaper!
