The apartment buildings are not that bad. However, the rent is higher compared to other apartments in the area. My biggest problem with this complex is the management. When living there they did little to help with the apartment problems. Putting this aside, I had two encounters with management that indicated they were trying to scam me. Both times I had to contact the companies regional manager to lodge a complaint. When I first filled out my application they stated that everything was in order. I paid my security deposit and thought I had a place to live. To my surprise I receive a call from them the next day stating that I did not supply all the required information. Althought I completed the entire application. They started asking very personal questions about me and my occupation after they had my deposit. I refused to give out my personal information. The questions they asked I would not give to anyone. So, they refused to give me the apartment and stated that I was breaking the contract. Therefore, I get none of my security deposit. It is quite humorous because in the contract it states that if I don't meet the requirements during processing, I receive 100% of my security deposit. Therefore, I contacted the regional manager in D.C. and indicated that they were breaking the law. They had two choices, either to refund my money or give me my apartment. I never gave them the personal information but, they gave me the apartment. Funny how they claim I did not provide the requested information but, I still got the apartment. Tell you the truth, after this I knew something was not right and would have preferred a refund of my deposit and another place to live. I won this battle but lost the war later on. After one year of living there I decide to get out. I guess these people remembered the problems I caused the year before and decided on revenge. I left my apartment in very good condition. However, when I got my refund check, it was reduced by half. They are charging outrageous fees for things I know are untrue. I am currently filing a complaint with the better business bureau. Anyone that moves into this complex better expect to loss a portion of there deposit. Also, be leary of what you read on this site. If you read an article that is all rosey, it is probably the manager trying to get some new suckers.
