Besides that they are waaaayy over-priced and parking is hard to come by in the evening, the property itself is not so bad. It's the leasing/sales employees that suck. They do not provide professional or courteous service and I believe that they discriminate between tenants. The young lady that my husband and I dealt with was pretentious and behaved quite differently toward another couple in the same room. One time, my husband walked in the office to pay the rent on the day that the late charge assessed thinking that the late charge assessed on the following day. Briarwood charges a 15% (or 20%, I can't remember which) late fee plus any concession, in our case that ended up being almost $400. My husband asked for the late fee to be waived as a one-time courtesy since no payments had been late throughout the duration of the lease. Not only did she smirk and say no, but she snidely inferred that he should have known better and told him that it was too bad because had he dropped the payment in the mailbox rather than walked it in to her, it wouldn't have been considered late since she hadn't yet checked the mailbox. So she pretty much rubbed it in his face, and enjoyed it. We pay too much money (rent is ridiculous) for this kind of treatment. For this, I will not recommend anyone to rent at Briarwood and will not give them my business either.

We didn't even bother to get her name. We just decided to find a new place to live and amicably end our relationship with Briarwood.
