My wife and I moved in here from out-of-state. The major benefit is that they are huge apartments. The downfall is the fact that our apartment has had three "floods from the sky." We live on the ground floor and we have had the ceiling replaced in our bathroom twice already. Last month my wife and I awoke around 1030pm and noticed that water was running down the ceiling light and smoke detector in the hallway. The problem was solved but the water is back...again.
I don't necessarily believe that it is a fault of the managment or the maintenance crew though--I do believe that David S. Brown is too cheap to do the necessary repairs. The Maintenance staff is top notch and are very friendly.
My advice, just watch out for cracks in the walls and ceiling when you do a walk-thru. If you see these things DO NOT Lease that unit.
