I just moved out of the Gates of Owings Mills earlier this week to relocate out of state for a new job. I had positive experiences here from day one. The maintenance staff was always a pleasure to speak to when I saw them out and about on the grounds (I only had one maintenance issue in 3 years.) Parking is ample and the grounds are well lit here. I can't remember ever hearing my next door neighbors, but I could hear when people were walking up and down stairs outside my apartment if I was sitting in the bedroom that has an outside wall next to the stairs. That was never a big deal, though. I think my apartment could've been insulated a little bit more. The past few winters, it always felt a couple of degrees cooler near windows. Even with the latest BGE rate hikes, though, that factor would've never made me consider moving to another community in the Baltimore area. I was here through the leasing office staff changeover about a year and a half to two years ago. I didn't have any issues with the previous property manager as some did; but Jenna, the current manager, truly shines and exemplifies great customer service! I will gladly recommend the Gates of Owings Mills to anyone I know in the area who is looking for a new apartment home.
