Parking is a Joke! Stay Away!

I moved in thinking that I could park both of my cars in the garage. After I signed my lease, management changed their rules and announced that tenants have to pay $600 a year for each additional garage space. So now, my 2nd vehicle sits outside where I have to step over dog feces to get to it. Greenwich Place supposedly will tow a car in the garage that doesn't have a parking tag. However, there is a red Mecedes owner who hides their vehicle in the garage on certain days of the week, knowing that management doesn't bother to check the garage everyday. This pisses me off! I want to park my car in the garage on days no one is going to check, too!
Carpets in the hallway are filthy. You can hear neighbors through the walls and ceilings. My loud-mouth neighbor above me has no idea I can clearly hear every word she utters, especially through the bathroom ceiling. Management leaves the door open in the club house. I've watch bus stop people roam into the building and walk straight into the area where the apartments are located.
People leave their dogs out at all hours of the night. Forget about sleeping with the window open unless you enjoy the sounds of barking dogs. The elevators have filthy carpets and ugly wall-coverings. Supposedly, management will remove them when they fill up the building and people stop moving in. Since this complex will NEVER become full, we're doomed to looking at the elevators this way for eternity.
Fitness center is nice and well-equipped. Don't rent unless you can live on the top floor.

I agree with everything this person had to say.I must add that the apartments are MUCH better looking than other apartments in the same area/price range. But when you consider the crime and lack of care from other residences when it comes to noise, trashing the place, and security issues than its a catch 22. There are always teenage kids coming up from the city on the train that are nothing but trouble, there have been many apartments broken into with smashed windows. My neighbor leaves their barking dog tied outside well into the night(sometimes 2am during the week). From the outside they look like great places but once you move in here you can't wait to leave!
