I have lived here since Nov 2007. I had a few minor problems such as the dish washer wasn't drying the dishes completely and hot water was running luke warm but as soon as I addressed my problems they were fixed in a timely manner. The area is located next to a mall and the AMC theater where people come for the day to shop, eat and go to the movies. Most arrive by the local transit bus. I live on the AMC theater side and I have to agree with one response that it is not the apartment itself, nor is it just some of the tenants who live here. I have watched people walk from the mall to the theater and throw their trash on the ground because they are to lazy to hold on to it long enough to get it in the trash bin outside the theater. I have also observed many people park in the theater parking lot, possibly having lunch, and throw there trash on the ground prior to leaving. Luckkily, every night after the theater is over, there is a vehicle that comes around and picks the trash up and all is well until the next day where it starts all over again. Now as far as the apartments itself, it is nice, clean, spacious and it does include an alarm system at no extra cost. The security of the building is good but could be better such as when tenants leave doors propped open for thier friends to get in, which also let in curious movie goers to see what it looks like inside. I think that the apartments should considider hiring a security guard on the weekend for this reason to check who is suppose to be here and who is not, or better yet invest in cameras throughtout the halls and garagage for personnel safety. More people have moved in, and according to one response they are allowing Section 8 personnel in. I do not know if this is true but in the last 6 months I have had a next door neighbor who invited people over who would throw beer bottles in the street (I was there and kindly asked them to clean it up which they did). Now, since I am on the bottom floor I am having problems of the upper floor tenant throwing cigarette butts over the balcony. I thought this site was bad but this morning it seemed as if someone threw up over the balcony. This takes the cake and I will be mentioning it to the management. I feel I pay too much money to come out to my patio to look at the disgusting mess outside. So in conclusion, there are tenants who love to live here but have to not only police other tenants who take the apartments for granite as being nice but also deal with those who do not live around here just visiting the surrounding area. The management can correct what they know is going on. They do send out notices (good and bad) to correct problems, have local police conduct community talks about the area, and I feel do things to keep the standard of living up here. The staff have always been not only professional but helpful in a timely manner. It maybe a little expensive but once you add in the alarm, parking garagae, amenities, theater, lounge etc., and the security (when used as its suppose to) its well worth it. I just hope that they are doing a more through background check on those they are allowing to here, at least for the safety of the elderly, handicapped, hard working people who enjoy living here.
