OK, so I have to admit that overall my apartment itself was fine. Nice kitchen, a fair amount of space, pretty quiet (top floor, maybe that's why.) But there were always a bunch of teenagers sitting in the stairwells talking late at night- I had to come out and tell them to keep it down a lot. You usually have to step around them with your trash and laundry, too. And don't forget the wasps that inhabit any birdfeeder or windowbox you try to put out on your balcony- I couldn't even water my plants because there were so many wasps- I left that stuff there when I moved out!
As for safety, while I lived there the cousin of a resident broke into the apartment of a single woman, sexually assaulted and repeatedly stabbed her- apparently drew the attention of the neighbors by breaking through her bedroom window at 2 in the morning to get out. Pretty scary for a single woman! Oh yeah, someone jacked up my car and stole one of the wheels off my Civic, too...lucky for me I went out that Sunday and didn't wait for Monday morning to discover my lack of a wheel on the way to work!!!!

Oh yeah.. I forgot about the wasps. How could I forget?!? When my roommate and I sprayed their nest (because God FORBID maintenence come out and do it) on our balcony the queen wasp herself tried to attack us. She just kept flying into the door over and over and over for hours! Check out my review on apartment fires. I back up this review and all the other bad ones. Those people giving the good reviews live on the "nice" side of the complex. If you're young or not their "ideal" tenant, they will put you on the ghetto side.
