...than fight with these people. First off, be careful...the Morningside Heights website states that the one bedrooms only go up to $870. This is not true. I'm paying more than that. Also, be forewarned: in the State of Maryland it is legal to serve tenants with eviction papers at 12:01AM the day after rent is due. These people in particular are pretty nasty about that. And once it happens to you, whether it's an honest mistake and you take responsibility for it, they don't forgive you and can be awful to deal with after the fact. And trying to deal with them during the whole court process will make you want to pull your hair out! There is another review that says that once you move in, the office staff is impolite and rude. I have been with this community for a year now. I was informed that my rent will be incresing BY $50! To me, that is an extortive amount. I contacted my leasing agent who went to her manager with my concerns. I stated that I felt like I was being punished for continuing to rent. I stated that the rent increase is twice what the cost of living increase was from the City of Baltimore. I stated that it would cost them more to move somebody else in rather than deal with me. I was told that my rent increase was bringing me up to market value, and that I was paying $16 a month for new doors! With this complex, there is no consideration for loyalty. I will be moving next year and will not rent with a "Home Properties" property again.
