I used this site almost explicitly to find an apt complex in the baltimore area with the idea of that many individuals primarily post with complaints. With that being said take other reviews with a grain of salt. I have lived at morningside for several months now and have a generally positive experience. In regards to issues that have been raised by others: it is true that their are areas of section 8 housing, noise issues with neighbors, occasionally nonfunctioning lights in the hallways. With this being said the rent is relatively inexpensive, i have never felt unsafe in the parking lot or hallways, maintenance and the front desk go out of their way to fix any issues that arise. As a side note when i took occupancy of my apt there was a laundry list of broken or damaged items. After the initial walkthrough with maintenance though every single item was addressed and repaired or replaced before my move in date. They have done ane xcellent job thus far addressing any concerns within 24 hours on all occasions.

If you are looking for a grand flawless apt complex this is not the ideal place for you. However if you are in the market for an affordable apt in a safe area with lots of surrounding retail look into morningside! please feel free to email/comment with any questions (..and to those skeptics out there, i am not a office worker writing this review!)

Obviously everyone will have different expereinces depending on what things take place while they reside on the property. With that said, let me tell you that I was there for two years and left more than a year ago. During my time there, someone was murdered and property management never so much as mentioned it to the residents. My heat was broken and instead of fixing it they gave me space heaters that shot my electric bill up beyond belief. Also, they piled the snow up around my car so high that I could not dig out to go to work, and when I asked to borrow their shovel to dig myself out they said that it was against policy to help. So... I understand that one should not expect perfection for the rates at Morningside. However, basic serice, heat and safety are within reason. Dont be so quick to dismiss what others say... as a person who lived in 6 complexes before buying my house this year, I have a point of comparison when I say that they were TERRIBLE!

I have lived here over 2 years because I have very few options. From day one my shower water runs scalding hot to cold for no reason. Maintenance cannot figure out the problem. My front door locked shut and we could not get in or out. Non-American neighbors on both sides are loud and inconsiderate. I have called the police twice but I think its a nuisance to do that. Complained to management and still the problem persists. Finally, the plowed the snow in front of cars which turned to ice. We were trapped and could not go to work. I fell, my daughter fell and a person bringing their baby to my neighbors fell with his child because maintenance did a poor job of clearing the ice or at least salting. Yet, if you are one day late the fees start mounting and others have complained of having to pay for morningsides poor bookkeeping skills. Because of the economy and my shrinking paycheck, I stay. But if I had a choice, I would not live here or recommend them. They give poor service and really dont uphold their end of the bargain.
