We lived here from March 2008 to March 2009. The place was alright. We heard a lot of noise from the neighbors next to us, above us, and below us, it was only a husband and wife couple that lived above us but you would even hear when they walked around and when they used the bathroom! And below us, the guy has an attached garage and you would hear the door close or open every time he went in and out, which would rattle everything in the apartment. Next to us, the lady played music very loud and you could hear every word to the songs clearly. You can also hear anyone who walks up or down the stairs in the lobby of the apartment building.
We have a small dog and when we left they sent us our deposit check minus our deposit for the dog, when I called to inquire, they said they DO NOT give back the pet deposit!! So not only do you pay something more monthly, that's added on to your rent for your pet, which could be $15 or more, but you also give them a $300 pet deposit that you do not get back!!! The gym is very, very small, my husband and I NEVER used it. The pool in the summertime was usually taken up by the neighborhood kids, so that was unappealing as well.
There are codes you need to put in the panel to get in the front door but often times the door was broken or would not close properly, and to make matters worse the maintenance man lived in our building and knew about the problem, he would tell us to make sure to pull the door shut hard behind us instead of fixing it!!! And then there was a crazy guy who would come at 2am or 3am and blow his car horn and yell for his girlfriend to come downstairs!! Not to mention the bright lights from the police cars and ambulances between 12am-4am!!

The pet deposits are rarely returned because most carpets are replaced when there is a dog/cat there. Too many people with allegies/sensitivities to pets, ect.

That doesn't make much sense because a lot of other apartment complexes do give the pet security deposit back. Carpets can be easily fully cleaned, I know people who clean carpets for a living. And if you're not going to give the security deposit back, then you shouldn't have to also pay more monthly for your pet. That makes no sense and is really ridiculous.
