I pretty much support everything said in the previous review called "Red Run Apartments Make me see red". I haven't had trouble with the management per se, and the maintenance guys are very nice and helpful. But this is not a safe area as one would have you believe, and management seems to not really care about it.

for example, there was a car fire in front of my apartment in july of '05. molotov cocktail thrown into a honda at 3am. I had to rush my wheelchair using husband out of bed and get to where we could make sure the trees didn't catch fire and then start burning our built-with-paper-and-sticks apartment (i heard the new ones arent as bad as the old phase, materials wise). There were several muggings in the 2 years we were there and someone was shot. The cops were constantly there ( I am grateful for their service, disappointed in the need for them) and one week they had helicopters and were combing the complex for a weapon (according to one of the cops). I also personally witnessed a car full of boys smoking pot, but only once. its easy to get away with illegal drugs near the back of the old phase, there's no lights.

No place in Owings Mills is super safe. Not to argue with you in any way, but my opinion is that Red Run is one of the safer complexes in the area. So if you have to live in Owings Mills for whatever reason, RR is not a bad choice.

not true, my apartment was drafty, had the cheapest walls so i could hear people PEEING, and had mice. Red Run is a terrible apartment complex. we got a condo because its a little more money but its safe and we are investing in something instead of throwing money away. Oh, and its about 0.3 miles from our old aparment. WORLDS difference in safety and upkeep. I would not ever recommend red run apartments.
