I moved here from Twin Ridge Apartments (worst experience I ve ever had) to Red Run about three months ago. Red Run is divided into two sections. The old side and new side. The older side is exactly how I wrote it old. The apartments smell dank and wet, the stairs feel downright dangerous and the overall appearance is degrading. The new side however is quite the opposite. The landscaping is meticulously maintained, the hallways are always clean and the apartments just feel larger and homier.

I opted to move into a 1 bedroom in the new section for the fact it has elevators (which are slow but worth it), 9 ft ceilings and significantly nicer than the old side and were recently constructed. Parking is NEVER an issue and you even have a nice car-washing bay with a quarter vacuum. The insulation in the apartments is actually pretty adequate and you rarely hear your neighbors. But nothing is ever perfect.

The maintenance team is absolutely atrocious. I ve put numerous complaints in about my faucet clogging and not draining and the caulking and tiling in the tub is starting to come off. Even after numerous calls no one has ever showed up. Another big complaint I have is how you re treated in the office. If you call and get a woman who sounds Russian immediately hang up and keep calling until you get someone else. She s quite possibly the worst person I ve ever had to deal with.

All in all though I honestly can t complain too much. Red Run is in a fantastic location, no crime, tons of parking, an amazing apartment layout, nice neighbors and is VERY QUIET. But you definitely pay for it. Red Run is rather expensive for what you re getting. If I could go back I wouldn t do anything different. Aside from the maintenance team I m very happy where I live now.

no crime is not true. maybe no crime yet, but there have been documented muggings there within the last year, and summer is usually atrocious because the kids have nothing to do and aren't supervised.

We have lived here at Red Run in the "old side" for 15 months and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the maintenance team! They have always been very prompt and courteous in any needs we might have. Last winter when we had icy snow, they worked many hours - including while we slept - to clear the parking lots. As for a particular person in the office, I don't like the idea of identifying someone by their nationality or any similar way. Putting that aside, depending on what time this poster may have called, she may have gotten the answering service, picking up after or before hours. But if it was a Red Run employee, then she, too, has always been very courteous to us!

No crime? You must not read the notices they put up by the mailboxes. In late October there was a mugging/robbery in the parking lot. I've talked to a neighbor in the next building over from us and he had is door almost kicked in. Crime is really picking up at Red Run these days.

My husband's car windshield was smashed in with a Corona bottle, lime wedge and all! The kids run around with no parents. Climbing on the brick walls, throwing ice and snow around. Running through the garage areas, who knows touching what!!! Not a good area and I can't wait for the lease to expire!!!

I'm not an official tenant of Red Run. But, my sister is. She's lived there for almost a year and her experiences have been great. I've seen nothing but cleanliness, helpful maintenence staff and the people at the rental office have been fine thus far. I even went to pay her rent for her once and they were very kind and accomodating towards me. No living experience will be perfect when it comes to an apartment. But, I've lived in places that were alot worse for the same amount of money.
