Read This First Before Renting

First, I graduated 2 years ago from graduate school (University of MD). I'm more chill and relax. There is not a lot of things that bothers me. This apartment sucks! This place looks good on the outside, but poorly constructed inside. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything. Even though the people on the other side, try to make as little noise as possible. The car insurance rates are higher here, because there is a lot of accidents on Lakeside Blvd. The appliances are 10 years old and outdated. The dishwasher on my unit never work and that they never replace it. I heard a few robberies on the parking lot, saw the fire department and ambulance which lead me to get renters insurance. There was a protest when I surrendered my keys near the office, because of the sprinkler system. I felt bad for the tenants and I'm sure their stuff was damaged. I tried to stay even with all that stuff going on because I'm lazy of moving to another place, but their aggressive negotiation just did it for me. When your lease end they will raise your rent by $150-200. I mean its ridiculous so you would obviously complain which they will reduce to $100 like they are doing you a favor. The manager Roni was rude and the rest of the staff are not far behind!! They would risk losing 1-3 months of rent revenue from good tenants just to maximize their profit. The pool and the gym that they advertise comprise of a couple of treadmill machines and a kiddie pool. The apartments at Reisterstown Road are lower and much better even though they don't look new. I can get the same 1 bedroom/1bathroom for $700-750 down the road. This place is way overprice for Owings Mills!
