I am so happy to find this website. I just moved out, and was trying to think of some way to makee my experience known to others... after living there 3 years, I am SO GLAD TO BE GONE. Here's some of why...
LIVING CONDITIONS
I agree with many of the others that its like projects, and I believe lots of that is because the owners and especially the on-site manager just DON'T CARE. There is no other way to say it. They SAY they do, and will act like they do when you come to look at the place, but they just DONT CARE.
Here are some other things...
a lot of blaring music
people often loud in the halls (and if you call the office, they say call the police)
trash all over the place
parking lots need paving
the pool has no chairs!!
the place looks nothing like any pictures you've seen
LIVING SPACE
many units have ORIGINAL cabinets, appliances, and bathrooms that are rickety and damaged
they are hasty and sloppy with repairs and reconditioning after someone moves out (mostly painting over everything, and shelacking the floors (but they missed many spots)
slow maintenance response
I have had ants for 2 years!
air conditioners are ancient and very inefficient (and guess who pays the higher BGE bills')
COMMUNITY
there NO sense of community, and the management doesnt foster it instead, they foster a certain apathy because of how disrespectful they are once you sign the lease
BUSINESS
rent is too high, and goes up every year (for what')
staff is often preoccupied or rude
you must sign lease 2 months ahead of time, which makes it hard to find another place, because often other places can't say for sure that soon if they will have the kind of place you want
if you dont renew, your rent goes up ridiculously higher than it already is
MANAGER
angry and often rude
sloppy work when maintenance does eventually arrive, probably because the manager treats employees as she does tenants - disrespect, condescending, insensitive, unresponsive, rude
she is also racist
manager only cares about her own opinion
she is only nice when she is showing prospective new tenants around (then she waves and acts nice, but otherwise she is hostile and rude)
SUMMARY
would not recommend this place to anyone
its too expensive and not worth it, and nerve-racking to live here
as a single woman, I did not feel safe here
rent is too high, place is too dirty, and too not safe
the staff is over-worked and so often rude
the manager has real issues
DON'T MOVE HERE, you'll regret it and feel trapped because, let's face it, moving is a pain
