Richmar isn't a horrible place, but neither is it great. It's very ethnic, so expect to hear loud spanish music at all hours. Also expect to see a lot of hispanic men loitering outside late at night leaving trash on the ground. Many apartments have a high turn-over rate, meaning people move in and out a lot. A nice thing is that the apartments are cleaned up and repainted between renters, but all the work being done tends to wake up and push roaches down the line of apartments. That's pretty common in most complexes though. Be prepared for very thin walls and some renters have loud dogs. The management seems to have gotten better in the past two years, but they still haven't learned to alert renters of building maintenance. All in all, it's an ok place to use while you're looking for someplace better. Crime doesn't seem to be much of a problem.

Improvements that could be made are telling people not to loiter outside late at night drinking in public. Enforcing pet codes as there are some pit bulls around that shouldn't be. Replacing and getting more washers and dryers. Better building maintenance notification. Maintenace people are good and very nice, but management sometimes forgets to tell us when they'll be doing things. Outdoor buildng lights work and are adequate, but the complex street lights don't seem to be working and some residents seem to enjoy walking in the middle of the road late at night. Parking is irritating at times, i'd love to see assigned spaces or parking permits handed out for closer spots.

Also I'd like to mention that many of the positive reviews of this place are fake. they've been done in an attempt to improve the apartment rating as it was pretty low last year.

HAHAHA I was thinking the same thing!!! Mamagement is OBVIOUSLY adding their own comments to make it look good. Because anyone who says this is a nice place to live is obviously lying. I can count how many times I called the cops due to noise and nothing was done about it. These apartments are the worst!!!! To whoever made the deaf person statement...the review was OBVIOUSLY being sarcastic. THAT'S what you commented on??!! Nice retort! (in case you're wondering, that's sarcasm as well)

i think the bad reviews are from disgruntled employees, as a resident here who is very happy Ms. kim told me about this site and asked me to write because she know I am very happy I have been here for 12 years and Ms Kim has been here the entire time. I have also aked some of my friends who live here to write so my opinion is the bad ones are fake because I know Richmar I have been here for a long time and have no intention of moving

I agree with the last comment that was made on this review. Management are probrably writing these "Oh this is a great place to live" reviews because they know that the community and their service both suck. Once future tenants move in they too will see that Richmar isn't worth the time nor the place.
