My wife and I have lived here for just over a year, and are getting ready to move on. Let me try and give you the good and the bad, and you take it for what it is worth.

THE GOOD:

1. The apartments themselves. Beautiful, open floorplans with fireplaces. Some have garages. Some also have Garden tubs, which are nearly impossible to find in this area. Built in shelving, ample cabinet space, and a nice deck to top it off.

2. Maintenance. The maintenance staff is friendly and helpful. If you don't get help right away, believe me it's not their fault. They really will go out of their way to make sure a problem gets fixed.

3. Location. Let's face it, it's important. The area is nice, and everything you need is within a five minute drive.

4. Pet Policy. Others complain, who obviously don't own pets, but this is wonderful. It is SO hard to find a place that will allow a 50 pound dog, and we were very appreciative of that. It's also SO NICE that there are bag stations throughout the property.


THE BAD:

1. The office staff! Now, let me preface this by saying they just got a new manager. This might improve the situation, and my negative feelings are in NO way directed at her, as she's hardly gotten her foot in the door at this point. BUT, the staff has been aweful. Everything you read in other reviews is true. Rude mannerisms, yes. Slow to notify residents of packages, yes. Horrible at relaying maintenance problems to the staff, yes. It's bad, and it's what made us decide to leave.

2. Parking. What a nightmare. I've actually been blocked in because people who can't find a spot park in the no parking areas and block people in. They park right underneath the No Parking signs, and no one does anything.

3. Late Rent Policy. Sure, no one wants to be late with their rent, but forcing tenants to pay by money order after the three day grace period is rediculous. I work nights, and my bank is over an hour away, so getting there is difficult to say the least. One time this policy resulted in my rent being ten days late, rather than one, when I returned from an out of town trip.

4. Lighting. I have blinds in the bedroom. I have TWO sheets pinned up inside those. I have thick velvet curtains inside those. It is still not completely dark in my bedroom at night. Do we really need THAT many lights on outside'

5. Security. The gates are a facade. The fence only goes around half the complex. And piggybacking, while prohibited in the lease, is very very common.


SO there you have it. There are ups and downs here. Ultimately, we think we can find somewhere better. But for you, ultimately, it's your choice. Good Luck.
