i moved in the watermill apartments last year and can say from experience that there are MANY things that make this an awful place to live, but there are other redeeming qualities. my car was towed, but since it was a mistake since i was a resident, watermill paid for the towing and even drove me to get my car (which i basically expected since it was not my fault my car was towed). i began to feel increasingly unsafe in the area as i had night classes and would not come back until late sometime. many other apartment dwellers in my building were not the least shy about smoking weed regularly in the building. the person on the bottom floor was constantly outside with very questionable people on their patio a good portion of the time (management told me they were trying to do something as they'd seen it themselves and had other complaints, but nothing was done while i was there).

the final straw was when my apartment was broken into. this, in itself, made me want to move, but it wasn't until i expressed my concerns to the staff that was there that today that i decided i had to leave. the black woman who works there (asst. manager maybe') literally put her hand up in my face when i was in tears from my apartment being broken into, and then began to patronize me. the manager was great about this situation, and i believe her and the other staff are the main reason this place isn't worse off.

as for the asst. manager, she is absolutely awful and i don't know how she is allowed to stay in an office with otherwise GREAT staff... i honestly wish i could have stayed there just for the great behavior of the other staff members (including maintenance).

basically, it's great to live in an oversized apartment with included utilities, but there is no reason to compromise your safety for it, so i was out of there within 5 months. if you still decide to move here, make SURE you trust your neighbors and try not to EVER have any dealings with the asst. woman, as she is a total witch.
