Not a bad place to live altogether. This area of old town is sketchy from block to block, but I've never had a problem here. I have been running in the area frequently and I usually take my iPod along but no one has given me a problem.

There's plenty of parking, and if I come home late from work I can always park on the street and it's a short walk to my door. The street is better lit than the lot, but there is a high level of visibility from everyones apartment so it feels safer. My girlfriend has never had a big problem either.

The neighbors can be loud sometimes because there are a lot of smaller kids in the families, but generally by 10 or 11 things quiet down. Generally there's no loud music or anything like that.

The maintenance staff is far superior. We've had to call them four times for issues. Once was for the pilot lights on the stove - the head of maintenance came by in less than 10 minutes to make sure there was nothing wrong. Second time was for a frozen pipe in the dead of winter that prevented me from showering, but at 8 pm at night they responded and fixed it in less than an hour. Third time was a shower head, but they responded in less than 24 hours and replaced the shower head with a brand new higher-pressure shower head. Lastly was the compressor on our AC, the only serious problem. They responded in less than a day, brought us 3 giant fans to use while they replaced it, and completed swapping the entire unit out in less than a day and then let us keep the fans anyway.

The grounds are nice - the landscaping is nice and appears professional even in the back units not visible from the street.

The apartment itself is nice as well - spacious living room for my big-screen, good water pressure, AC and heat are immaculate, lighting is good, storage space is nice (walk-in closet), etc.

Overall I'd recommend Watermill, at the very least my unit and the adjacent ones are very nice (10913 and adjacent).

i agree with most of what you say except the parking....parking is horrible
