If you are looking for a place to call home, do not apply or think about moving at Colonial Village for the following reasons:

*The apartments are very much old and really need major renovation inside and outside.

*Dogs run loose on the property every now and then.

*The mailbox is located at the rental office not in your apartment building.

*The playground need remodeling; however it is not safe for children, its for the drug dealers.

*The paint job of the apartments are sloppy.

*Appliances are not cleaned properly before you move in. (For example, roach eggs may be behind the refrigerator)

*Sometimes I had to wait 3-5 weeks before the exterminator came to exterminate my apartment. Actually, you would need to get your apartment exterminated every month to be free of clans of roaches.

*It is entirely too much money Colonial Village is asking for rent living under these conditions.

This is a brief synopsis of Colonial Village.

Preferably, this was a rude awakening! I moved here because of my credit thinking I could not move anywhere else. That was a big mistake. Moving here had taught me not to anxious or in a rush for anything, but wait on God and he will direct my path. Please do not make the same mistake. There is something better than this place regardless what your credit looks like.

The truth has been stated about colonial village. It is rat and roach infested! Maintence doesnt respond quickly and the management is bad. my house had a fire across the hall in April 05 that caused damage to my apartment. I am still waiting for my damages to be fixed. With so many rats and roaches there is a list you have to be put on to get the exterminator and yes it does take him weeks to come out. security is supposed to get the drug dealers and loiterers off the fronts, out of the parking lot and off the playgrounds but instead they hang out with them. drive by's occur often. in early june a drive by occurred and all the hustlers ran in a crack head's house who happened to live my building. a boy was hospitalized. dont let poor credit force u to move to colonial village or its surrounding hoods. they are all together but colonial is the worst.

Based on this review and witnessing an apartment in this complex, what apartment in that area besides Colonial Apartments besides credit that I can move into.

PLEASE!Tell us where else can you go when your credit is bad. If I don't find out, I may have no other choice but to move here or be homeless.
