Sneaking in Utilities

Living in Forest Hills is ok...only because it is so convienent to the metro, highway and shopping. I haven't had one mouse in my house or any roaches but then again there are always 5 cats around my building. The thing that sucks about living in Forest Hills is there is no dishwasher, the laundry machines only work half the time, and the rental office staff is always changing and doesn't care about its' residents. To get maintenance to come out you have to call mutiple times and physically go to the rental office and complain for them to do anything. Also, when I first moved in, the rent was reasonable with all utilities included which is why I moved in....but all of a sudden that changed. Now the rent has gone up, we have to pay for water and they are trying to be sneaky about it, but I'm sure we will be paying for electricty starting in January. If I wanted to pay utilities and high rent I would be looking for a house.

I completely agree with you. When I came home one day and realized I had a new object in my kitchen under the fuse box, I knew right then and there Electric was coming my way. I am definitely in the process of looking for a house or a better neighborhood. If you just mentioned cats, then that means you're back there by the back entrance with me. The neighborhood isn't too bad, but I see it can get rowdy up by the rental office. But for how much I'm paying, plus you might as well say utilities too, I might as well go somewhere that I don't mind paying that much. Since I've been there, I've only been dealing with Portia, and she's always very helpful with getting maintenance to my apt or answering questions. I haven't dealt with anyone else in the office simply because they always refer me to Portia. Be careful though, Mickey, Jerry and friends are definitely running around. I was told by the exterminator that my apartment was the CLEANESS in my building. But I did get a visit from Mickey Mouse. I guess he wanted to see if it was true. LOL. Hope all is well, and take care.

I just moved around here not even 2 weeks ago and I have already had a visit from Mickey and Jerry. My friend used to live in this same building about 8 years ago and she had the whole Mikey and all of his relatives too. I didn't realize that I had moved to the same exact building on the same floor. I asked to be transferred to another building but was told that they needed to fix the problem first and that they did not want me to take the mice with me to another building. I sure did not bring them with me when I moved in because I never had mice. I only moved here because of the housing market drama that is going on that I happened to be caught up in. I don't even want to go home now because I cannot handle mice.
