I'm the guy who wrote "my thoughts 6 months later...." Moving, breaking my lease, ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!!... These are the things that went thru my head on a Friday evening when I came home to see my lock had been popped, my valuables gone, and my home in an uproar. Police were somewhat helpful. I thought they could've done a better job investigating, but what can you do since they are under-paid.

So I report all of this to the rental office and the only thing that was said to me is "we'd love to keep you here as a resident." Again, I'm saying ARE YOU SERIOUS.... The only REAL reason they want me to stay is because I'm probably the only resident within my building paying FULL MARKET RENT, and never late paying it. The Asst Community Manager took a B.S. report, and said he'd get back to me. I walked out laughing and said ok. Even as I'm typing this, none of the damages to my apartment that occurred during the robbery has been fixed. As usual, I'll be making corrections myself, as well as purchasing the materials to do so.

So PLEASE... Don't move here... Well, move here if you're a thug, crack head (you'll have competition though) section 8 tenants or just don't feel like paying rent on a monthly basis. But if you're someone who works hard for the things they have, take pride in yourself as well as your home, this is not the place for you. Don't be fooled by the convenience (like I was), it's only an easy access for you to get ROBBED. There is constant loitering, even in front of the rental office. Sure, call the Non-Emergency number, they come 4 hours later, or half the time come and chill with them. I m like again ARE YOU SERIOUS

It's sad. Now I feel the rental office is trying to RED FLAG me. They are claiming I am late with my rent, put the note on my acct and everything. FUNNY, I've already gotten my new place though. (SO SORRY GUYS) Try that with the next idiot who moves here. And the new Tee Hee Hee is.... I found out my apartment has been broken into once before. Of course they didn't tell me that before I moved in, but it SLIPPED out of the managers mouth. WILD Right.... Thank God February is a SHORT month. Again renters, beware of where you move. Forest Hills has very nice apartments (don't get me wrong), but the people are beyond ghetto. I have to say, you'll have a few in your building who work hard everyday, and appreciate what they have, but then you'll have the other 92% who just don't care and destroy any and everything. So Please RENTERS INSURANCE people. Please get it if you come here.

Thanks for posting this. I am apartment hunting and I will definately not move to Forest Hills. Word of advice..don't move to Fox Hills North either.

Was your apartment 1425 #102 cause that was my old apartment when I moved out in January 2008 and it was constantly broken into and all they offered me was to move to another unit! I was not staying around there so I left when my lease was up quick and in a hurry!

No I was in 1417. Sad too, because it was a really nice and quiet building.
