I moved to Fox Hills North in October 2007, and by November 2007 we caught 3 mice. The mice problem increased as the year went on, and all maintenance did was put down the sticky mouse traps. I kept telling them that someone needed to pull the stove out from the wall and patch whatever hole the mice were using, but that never happened.
Maintenance was sloppy at best. I lived on the top floor and my bathroom ceiling began to leak during the rain in November 2007. It took maintenance 3 days to address the phone call I placed to the emergency line. I had to take off work and wait for the rental office to open up, personally go to the property manager and bring her to my unit to show her the hole in my ceiling before anything was done to repair the problem.
Even though the units are supposed to be a secured entry, the neighbors in the building never seemed to understand the concept. Every day when I left for work, I had to remove the penny or piece of paper that was stuck in the front door's lock to keep it open. When I returned home in the evening, that item was back in the door and the hall was full of friends of neighbor's children. Since the walls were paper thin, I could hear the conversations in my hall loud and clear. I had to turn on my TV or radio with my surround sound to drown out the noise.
The final straw was when my car was broken in to, not once, but twice. That was November 2008 and I broke my lease and moved five days later.
One final complaint was the flooring. My unit was carpeted, but it felt as if my entire unit leaned to the left. Even with the cheap carpet, you could feel the wood floor warping under your feet. Since I didn't make many friends at the complex, I'm not sure if this was specific to my unit or if the entire building suffered from warping floor syndrome.

We moved out in June 2007. While we were moving out, we saw evidence of rodents having been in our place. They had chewed on some of my flip flops and there were droppings. I actually saw some in my neighbors apartment while they were moving out too. We never had any real bug problems. The staff was ghetto and rude. There was a murder there in broad daylight back in December 2006. They never sent out any notices or anything. We saw it on the news. Our car was stolen twice from there and ultimately burned up. Half the time those electronic doors didn't work and random people would call us to be buzzed in. Horrible.
