THE APT SUCKED

I'm in the military and was about to get married in 1999. I signed a lease at Oxon Hell Village without doing any research. I moved my wife and daughter up from GA. In the beginning everything was ok. Then came the rodents. I don't know why they felt the could come in because they didn't pay rent but they moved in anyway. They came and sprayed but that didn't help, they were just on vacation for a while, but they came back. One Sunday after church we went into the apt and returned back outside about 10 mins later and my friends car was stolen in midday. There were alot of people outside who all act like they didn't see anything. That was my first experience. The next was went maintenance came in to say they had to dig up our floor in our bedroom to locate some pipes because my neighbor didn't have heat. Well while digging they hit a water pipe and ruined everything in the room. Water was everywhere. They put us in a hotel and got mad when I told them that I shouldn't have to pay for those days we were not there because of there mess up. So they had us in a hotel for 3 days. When it was time to checkout they were not done with our apt yet so they said I had to pay for any other days in the hotel. They also didn't want to reimburse for our furniture and cloths they had damage. So I got a lawyer went to court. They lost the case and were ordered to reimburse me all my rent that I had paid while staying there along with a check to refurnish our house so I broke my lease and moved to Germantown quickly. They also one time towed my car for not having a decal when they never stated I needed one, never gave me one at the orientation and it wasn't in the contract. So they had to pay for my car to be released from impound and for the cab ride there. THANK GOD I MOVED FROM THAT HELL HOLE. Military personnel should be banned from living there.
