I and my two sons moved here last year, and yes things looked okay in the begin. The property manager and staff were nice, but as time went on I started to notice little things. On the days my husband will take me and our sons out shopping, and when we got back there was spit on the floor. I reported it to the property manager several times, and this is still going, we also been experience marijuanna and cigars smoke under our door. I have a habit of buying 9 air freshner cans, and they normally last 3 months, but since I been here my cans only last one week. Some of the tentants are very loud, they will slam their doors, cursing in the hallway, and sometime fight. I pay $1110 a month for two beds rooms and two baths with hardwood floors, and I feel like a prisoner in my home. The roach are out rages, we been in many apartments but this is the first one to have roaches. Yes, I do buy roach spray (Raid) and that is for ants, bees, and other out door insects. What else ticks me off about Oxon Hill Village the only time they will send someone around is when your rent is late, but other then that they don't care. If you were to ask me, I think they should stop bring these drug dealers, and people who are on welfare, and yes there are people who are on welfare who have good sense, but the ones who just don't care they need to go. By the way in a coupler months we will be moving back home, no roaches, no noisy just peace and quite.

I first moved to Oxon Hill Village in 2002 and stayed there for about 3 years. From what I remember the staff were very professional and courteous. I never had any problems with maintenance and whenever I made a request to have something repaired I never had to call twice. My apartment was spacious and I loved the location. Yes I saw my share of loitering in the halls and such, but that is just one of the many things to be expected after all you are renting.
My biggest complaint and my reason for leaving this community was becasue of FLYING COCKROACHES!!! Now growing up in the DC Metro Area all 31 years of my life I've never encountered anything so disturbing in my entire life!! This was a huge problem for me and my son who was only 2 at the time. It had gotten so bad that I had to leave my lights on at night. I must say the rental office did everything they could sending exterminitors out twice a week but it didn't work. I truly believed it was the entire building that was infested with these things! My brother who lived in a building directly next to mine said he never saw any in his place...all I could say was lucky him! If you have a fear of bugs like I do you can feel my pain. Anyway, overall I wouldn't tell someone NOT to move here...but just keep an eye out for those big suckers..and they are huge...especially if I could see them in the dark.
