I moved out of Oxon Hill Village April of 2008 after living there for two years in building 2238. I wouldn't recommend this hell hole to anyone. I'm a single mother and I didn't let my son play there or go to school around that neighborhood I had him enrolled a school around my mother's way, even if that ment having to drive him to her house every morning. The security guards aren't any help, they look at everyone as if you are a potential suspect. There are a bunch of bay bay kids who live there, who obviously have no home training either fighting or smoking weed all the time. The only time the rental office harasses you or even realizes that you live there is when you are late on your rental payment. When I first moved in I had my tires slashed and filing a police report didn't help since they never found out who did it. I wouldn't even recommend this place to an enemy. Anyone who is reading this or thinking about moving in there I say run like hell and don't look back!

I have to agree with you also about the kids deportment. Their deportment is outrage and nothing is done about it...I am afraid to say anything to them because the parent(s) might cuss me out, or want to fight me. But I will say one thing every time one of the kids did hit our son the security guards were always there. They been in our apartment listen to my husband and I complaint and assured us everything would be taken care and they did. Every morning I walked him to the bus stop and stand with him until bus came. I have witnesses several fights and I also witnesses parents watching and not doing anything. In the afternoon our son would call and I would walk and meet him....this was done until I and my husband withdrawal from him G. Shugart. He is know being home school and he love it and the teachers loved him. I wished I never moved here it is nothing like our old apartment quiet and peaceful...and I can not wait to move away from here. And there are some nice people but it does not take away how the place is being run. And for those who defends Oxon Hill Village are mostly the ones who doing the things we are against. Oh, one more thing you hit it right on the nail when you said the only time the rental harasses you is when the rental is late.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who sees this place as a disgrace. The apartments I've lived at before Oxon Hill Village and since I've moved out have been completely peaceful. I'm about to move into a home in a nice neighborhood and thankful that my son and myself no longer live in Oxon Hill Village. Such a nightmare all the way around living in that complex.
