I lived in Park Forest Apartments for 3 years. You speak of the staff, little do you know this is probably the 10th set of people in that office since I came there in 1999. Management are not knowledgable of there own procedures. Example, the first month I was there, I paid my rent via check and took to the rental office, the person there at that time, instructed me to scratch out the old information (had not rec'd new checks with the new address) and write in my current address, okay I did that. I paid my rent the same way for the next 2 months and then they send me a notice saying my rent was not paid for the first month''' Not only was the young lady who I gave my check to, was no longer there, but they could not tell me where the check was. Long story short, 4 months after they send the check to me, stating the check somehow got between the carpet at the front desk. And management gave me such a hard time, even after I showed proof that I stopped payment on the check which cost me an additional $10.00. Thank God, I'm moved into a lovely 1,670 square foot home, basement included where my electric bill averages $35-43 per month. In between the other tenants propping the door open with whatever objects they could or the person who siphoned gas from my car and jammed the locks or the little mice that took up residence and the 99 children in the apartment above, that stomped so hard, the light fell from the ceiling and all management would say, was we will talk to them and never did, the only good experience I had at Park Forest is when I pulled a moving truck up to the doors and loaded my things in it and MOVED!!! Now, what I have described above is not the half, but I would have to right a book for that.
