I have been a resident here since 6-2003. This is my last year here. I cant wait until my lease is up. Just let me give you some of the scoop of what really goes on around Park Forest Apartments.
Since I moved in I have been complaining about the rats and rodents. I have ants invading my apartment every June. In my daughters room I found over 100 mice terds in the closet and a large whole in the wall that the mice had made.
In my room I set up mouse traps and have caught 2 of them so far. In the kitchen I found mice terds in the drawers.
This is not a safe living condition for anyone who is paying money to have a roof over their heads.
In the hallways their is always someone smoking and the smoke gets into my apartment and causes problems.
My kitchen sink and dishwasher has been having major problems since I have been here. I dont know how many of the maintenance men have been up here to try and fix the problem. (Notice that I said try). Its just not fair. But they want your rent each month and no questions asked.
Oh before I forget. The electric bills that come are out of control. I am not home at all during the day. When I get home I still dont use the amount of electric that they state on the meters and the bills. I dont know which meter they are reading from but it cant be the one that my apartment is connceted to. The highest I have seen my electric bill is $290.00 the lowest $80.00 this does not make any since. The one for $80.00 was in the summer, now you know something is wrong with this picture.
I have complained and complained. I have went so far as to writing the headquarters and still no response from them. I guess everyone is on the same page when it comes to management.
Then the children that hang out on the property have no respect what so ever. Why arent the police monitoring what goes on around here. Why dont Park Forest hire police to watch the property all day. I come in from a hard days work and I have to come home to someone constantly sitting in front of the building throwing trash all over the ground, cursing, smoking drugs.

These facts are very well true. Park Forest Apartments is not a place that you want to go and spend your money paying $750 or more for rent, because it is not worth it. And they don't do anything about it. And the saddest thing about it is, they depend on tenants to rent apartments from them because in the past 6 months there has been at least 30 move-outs, and the move-out rate continues to grow in the wake of the continued problems at this complex. DO NOT fall a victim to what the rest of us have already; save yourself the trouble and you'd be glad you did.... |
