Ok I have been with Park Forest apartments since November of 2004 and I have yet to relate to anything that I have read from the comments listed. First things first, the mice - I am not sure if I just got lucky or what but I have yet to see one mouse or any mouse dropping at all in the apartment or in my belongings, although I have to admitt I am a VERY clean person. For those who do not know - mice, rodents and/or bugs of any kind are attracted to any foul smell or odor. They love dirty areas and especially kitchens with left over dishes and dropping on the floor. Now I am not saying that those that commented were dirty but if you build a house of dirtyness they will come. As for the matentence men and the staff at Park Forest apartments - I think they are all awesome and have always showed very much respect and professinalism with me, but I think its because I have showed them respect and have displayed professionalism with them. I have yet to make a request with the office that has not been answered quickly. I also read one comment that stated the electricity was $250.00 a month - all I can say to that is that someone left the lights on for way to long or they dont know how to conserve energy. I am sure they were many more comments that I have yet to read but I have to say I really love my apartment complex and my apartment is off Irvington street and not off Audrey lane so maybe that might be the issue as well, also my parking was right in front of my building - kinda like in a square lot - with lighting and I always felt safe going and coming from my car, but whatever the reason being I would have to recommend my apartment complex because although it's not for everyone its sure was perfect for me as my first apartment here in the DC Area, and would advise individuals to go out and see for yourself before judging a book by it's cover!

If anyone is reading the review that was posted by this individual, pay it no mind because the person that posted it is an employee at Park Forest Apartments itself that is trying to save itself from the low rating that it is getting. Look at all of the negative responses and compare them and you will see that the person that posted this review is an employee with Park Forest Apartments trying to save their bad name...Pay it no mind.. DO NOT MOVE into a Park Forest Apartment, your money is worth more than that...You'd only be throwing your money away if you did.

I don't know what to think??? but I do know it's ignorant to say that people are dirty because the have mice. Any idiot know that mice can travel from apartment to apartment as long as their heads can fit in the hole their traveling through. Mice are also very adaptive. I simple hate when a apartment complex tries to blame it's tenant for their rodent problem. |

I lived at this place and the person who wrote this is crazy! You think because you live off Irvington St you have foudn luck? Whatever!!! That's one of the biggest problem areas (aside from the whole place) with rodents. I know because I lived on Irvington and had the problem. Not too mention, I keep a spotless and I mean spotless home (you could eat off my floor and not think twice!) I didn't realize I had mice living with me until 8 months after I moved in. I was constantly on the go and one night I decided to stay home and watch movies all night and about 3am is when I saw the rodent run through my place!!! Not too mention the rodent didn't have anywhere to hide (I kept my space uncluttered) and no food source so they would run back to where they came from holes in the closet and behind the stove and ccounters in the kitchen. If you haven't seen you roommates yet, stay up late and be prepared to meet them.
