I have lived here for four years and it has truly gone down! I have never had any mice or even roaches for that matter, but I have heard several people complaining in the rental office about rodents. It depends on what street you live on. Maintenance sucks. Some of them are really nice, but I have had some who beg for a drink or even sex. They never fix anything. I have had a problem with water backing up in my tub and toilet and running over into the hallway, the carpet has been nasty and torn since I have been there. The closet door and the light fixture in my daughter's room keeps falling off and I am waiting for one of us to get hurt so I can sue them for never fixing the problem. The light in the dining room has never been fixed. I have called several times and they keep telling me to change the lightbulb like I'm that stupid. There is obviously an electrical problem. In the summer time, the boiler in my bedroom closet leaks through the wall and onto the carpet, causing a mildew smell and mushrooms. I have constantly complained about that and it is still happening. My car has been broken into twice by idiot, wannabee thugs, costing me money that I do not have to spend. My daughter can not go outside because the other children in the neighborhood are ghetto, they curse constantly and they are mean. The older kids insist on taking over the playground and smoking weed there or in the building. They play and make unbearable noise in the hallways until the wee hours. The kids are constantly in the street and act like you are wrong when you try to park your car. I have had finger prints on my back window, which tells me that they are probably playing on my car like they to others. I got a boot on my car and had to pay $100 to have it removed when they decided to change the parking passes without giving anyone prior notice. The buildings are not cleaned on the weekends so with bebe's kids running rampant in the building, I am forced to walk through trash, not to mention the 4th of July, when the idiots decided to try to light fireworks in the building. The buzzer to get in the front door doesn't work because the kids keep taking it off so they can hotwire the door. Someone's child is going to be electricuted and I don't want to be there when it happens. I carry my knife when I come home late because it is very dark and not very safe. I will protect myself and my child and I will cut somebody if I have to. The people in the rental office are stupid and they never let you speak directly with the property manager. Maintenance doesn't keep track of tickets. Most times, I have to call more than once, and they never even wrote down the first complaint. With all the complaints, they will still not let me out of my lease without paying them 2 months rent, which I refuse to give them. I feel like my standard of living has been greatly compromised and I can not wait to get out of here. I am in the process of buying a home, but I am praying that I can survive until then.
