I'm a single female w/o kids looking for a safe, convenient, affordable, and quiet apartment that wont put a hole in my pockets. I read the reviews on Portabello and was instantly impressed on the reviews. Please (especially for the current residence) can you provide me with your current opinions and experience at Portabello...
1. Is Portabello worth what there requesting for rent'
2. About the surrounding neighbor and the safeness of the compliance from a females point of view'
3. How is the office staff and maintenance crew and how they treat their tenants'
4. About the actually apt size and space (are appliances, etc. breaking constantly in the compliance)'
5. Are the grounds kept up and well maintained'
Bascially, do you feel the apt is worth your hard earned money!!!
Thanks to all who reply...I truly appreciate it!

I can highly recommend Portabello for you. I lived there for 2 years this was my first apartment I was a young single female and it was the best spacious apartment that I could ever have I really enjoyed my stay at Portabello and would move back in a heart beat. I say go for it 100%. Although my only recommendation is to get a top level unless you don't mind the noise of people walking over you.

I lived in Portabello for a year and a half, it was not a good experience. Someone broke in to my apartment, the toilet and the bathtub over flowed 2 or 3 times. every times I couldn't watch tv and iron my clothes in my bedroom without the power going out. I would not recommend living there

I lived in Portabello for 1 year in 2000 and then I moved back in 2004 and I stayed there for 1 year. The buildings that I lived in were both near the rental office (I suggest a building near the rental office). In 2000, that was my first apartment in MD because I lived in VA all my life before moving to Portabello. It was a good experience for me being a single black female w/o kids. I had no problem with maintenance fixing any problems that I had in each unit and I didn't have that many issues. I felt safe, no one messed with me or tried to harm me in any way. When I first moved to Portabello, I was just starting out in my career, and I think that the rent was really good compared to other apartment complexes. The square footage of the apartment could have been bigger but it was okay during that point of my life. It's up to you. Be safe.
