I made a horrible mistake. I gave up my apartment at Brinkley House to move to Portabello Apt. I move there June 2008 and can not wait until my lease is up. When I first moved their I had to call them for 3 months straight to fix my front door. The top and the bottom of the door was pushed in and it was hard to lock the door. When they finally came to fix the door they hired some contractors who did not know what they were doing. I walked straight in my apartment and they didn't know who I was or maintenance staff was not with them. They were not prepared and had to leave with my door unattended with no locks for 45 minutes. It took them from 1 pm to 11 pm to fix my door and on top of all of that they wasted some oil on my carpet. You have people walking into your apartment whenever they please. I am the onlyone with a key, but had $2500 in cash stolen, 2- MP4 watches, and among many other things. Once I finally reported to the police and Portabello management they changed my locks and I haven't had any more incidents. The only incidents I had after that was my back car window was busted out. I would not recommend these apartments.

I totally understand what you are saying, my apartment was broken into when I lived there. My bath tube will fill up with water and and over flow. I would come home and the bathroom would be soaked, it took them months to ifx it. There are too many thing to say what was wrong with Portabello.
