I don't live in Southview and never have. I grew up in the area and I don't think it was too bad during the early-late 90's. My mother currently lives there and has been living there for a year. I drop my son off at her apartment so she can babysit him.

Based on my observances I wouldn't live there. My mother lives next to the rental office and there are teenagers out there all hours of the night. Gun shots, cars being set afire, it's ridiculous. I had a friend who lived there and moved because someone broke into his apartment and stole his stereo equipment, the sad thing is that he thought it was an inside job, maintenance.

ROACHES AND THE APARTMENTS NEED TO BE RENOVATED BADLY. I was going to move there once but when I saw two roaches as the woman was showing me the apartment I said "No way." Anytime you take a tour of an apartment and spot two roaches or even one, it's a definite sign that you shouldn't live there.

I feel kind of bad that my mother has to stay in that old raggedy apartment but I have a two bedroom condo and there's no room for her. Oh yeah, I think she pays about 750 for a one bedroom but based on the condition of the apartment I don't even think it's worth it.

I think most of the breakins is a inside job. southview have a lot of maintance guys who have just got out of jail working for them. who want to have these guys with your house keys? Most of them only works for a while with southview now they have been in the apartments that they want to come back to break in to get what they want from your apartment. this apartment have a lot of breakins neighbors in the building are home and no one seen or heard anything. this is not the place to move in to.
