I have been an Southview for 9 months and can't wait to move. First, I was told about these wonderful duplexes after I advised the leasing office that I just wanted a 2 br flat to only be told once I decided on the duplex that they didn't have one available and it was first come first serve. After finally getting it (and having to pay the rent before my other lease was up to "hold" the apartment), it was a really nice apartment. The real problem....you hear EVERYTHING that goes on in the apartments below and beside you. I have made numerous complaints about the noise and nothing has worked. I have even called the police b/c it was disturbing my sleep and I was being awaken at all hours of the morning and night. It is so bad that I can feel when other people are walking around in there apartment (literally) and I can almost get high from the smells coming from the apartments below me. And the mouse problem is ridiculous. They keep putting down glue traps that don't trap anything but dust. These mice apparently aren't stupid b/c they are just walking around them. There are holes in the walls and they do a horrible job and patching them up. Believe me even if you move in by yourself, you will never be alone. The apartments themselves are very nice, just located in the wrong area. I can't wait until my lease is up.
