My initial year at Southview was hell. I had rats and roaches that kept coming back because people kept moving or being evicted. I lived on the "DC" side my first year, and I hated it. My kid's Christmas gifts were stolen. There was always shooting, someone was shot on the lawn right across from my apartment. There were people selling drugs right outside, and they didnt bother to move when you were trying to get by. People were pulling guns out just to be doing it. My next year, I moved to the Iverson side. It was a little more peaceful. There are more elderly people on that side, so there isnt as much violence or illegal activity. Now, dont get me wrong, I am leaving in a few months when my lease is over. I want my kids to be able to play outside without worrying about them being shot. However, if your credit is bad, and no other place will take you, then do what you have to do, but LIVE ON THE IVERSON SIDE!!!
