I've just moved in Southview about a month ago (02/01/06)from Baltimore. I live in the Midrise apt and things have been ok so far. My building is pretty quiet (1500 Southview Drive), maybe that's because there are alot of working adults in the building. I saw exactly two roaches when I moved in, but once I killed them I never saw another one. The staff is friendly and the maintenance workers are efficient. The only problem I have with Southview is the security at the front gate. You would think that they are there to protect cars from being stollen, but their have been many occasions that I have returned home only to find that the security left the gates open and the both was empty. PG police patrols the parking lot from time to time so I guess that makes up for their lack in the securtiy department. The bottom of the hill where the grocery stores and other shops are located is really ghetto, but they don't really bother anyone. They are just living their lives like everyone else, just in their own way. Other than that I am satisfied. Once the summer time begins and school lets out I may have a different opinion.
