I have been residing here for several years and I know where I moved to b4 I even moved. Now what it was like back in the 90's I cant say, but for 5 years I love it. I have read all 72 of the reviews for this apt and I can't seem to understand some of the comments. I want to first start by saying no place is exempt from mice or roaches. We are located near a wooded area so mice will occur, but roaches normally come from filth, paper products such as paper bags, boxes so forth, cleaning regaurly behind your stove, refridgerator remove the dishes from your sink and have the exterminator come in on a weekly basis will help prevent this problem, if you tell them before the Rodents Family moves in. Dont wait until you have a family of them and call with attitude or comment like you don't know what you need to do or you are just flat out nasty. Secondly you talk about the crime, assaults, drug dealers, you live in america where those things exist. Yes you are in a prodominently black enviroment, but don't think these same issues don't exist in VA or Montgomery County. Your safety is not and can not be guaranteed no where. You want affordable housing , but yet you want survalliance cameras, security walking the community and you still want affordable housing. Please tell me where they do that at' Yes I had to get a little ghetto for those who think they are living on Rodeo DR. in California or even in Potomac, MD livingin a half a million dollar home on 10 acres of land. Furthermore for the one who said they have been here for 10 years because you can't afford to move any where else, why did you even comment,those were your key words. You cant afford to move anywhere else, and evidently your credit won't allow you to move elsewhere either, so you should just keep your comments to yourself until you can do better.

Last but not least all that have commented I sure hope you pay your rent on time, never late because if not again you need to reslove that issue first. Roaches nor mice are no reason you don't pay your rent on time,if so then your money should be in escrow and you should have put in a 30 day notice as well & move to Colonial Village, Park Forest , Forest Hill, Whitehall Square or even Top of the Hill where they don't even have PG County Police patroling the coomunity, little lighting and there rent starts at least $100 more that any of ours and see what you get for your money oh thats if you can afford it or if your credit is good , not okay

COME ON NOW..YOU SOUND A LITTLE SUSPICIOUS. MAYBE YOU WORK FOR SOUTHVIEW...YOU SOUND TOO MUCH LIKE AN ADVOCATE. I'VE LIVED IN THAT AREA ALL MY LIFE DAMN NEAR AND CRIME IS PREVALENT. YOU CANNOT PREVENT IT, BUT YOU CAN DAMN SURE DO BACKGROUND CHECKS ON WHO YOU HAVE MOVING IN. YOU CAN PROPERLY INSULATE THE APARTMENTS FROM NOISE, AND YOU CAN ENFORCE LOITERING AND NOISE VIOLATIONS. SINCE YOU LIVE THERE, IM SURE YOU SEE WHAT SOUTHVIEW LOOKS LIKE AT NIGHT. THAT SPEAKS FOR THE QUALITY OF PEOPLE LIVING THERE AND ALLOWING THEIR CHILDREN TO ROAM FREE WITH NO SUPERVISION OR REGARD TO OTHER TENANTS. MICE ARE RAMPANT IN SOUTHVIEW AND WHEN I LOOKED AT AN APARTMENT IN SOUTHVIEW I SAW ROACHES. AND THAT WAS IN AN APARTMENT THAT THE RENTAL OFFICE CHOSE TO SHOW ME...A POTENTIAL RENTER. NOW THATS TRIFLING...I DAMN SURE DIDN'T BRINCE THE ROACHCAPADES WITH ME TO VIEW THE APARTMENT..THEY WERE ALREADY THERE...READY TO ATTACK THE NEXT FAMILY.
