I am a 20 year old single female looking to move into my first apartment. Southview is really thing that I can afford right now and more than likely that is where I will be ending up. I know that the garden style apartments have problems as far as the car theft, and mice but I am more concerned about the mid rise apartments. I need an honest un-biased review from someone who lives or have lived in the mid rise apartments. I would appreciate any information you can give me.

Well, let me be honest. I once lived in the midrises and I had no pest problems however, someone climbed on my balcony (2nd floor) and stole my and my son's bikes and then later that year someone broke into my car. I recently moved back here and it has gotten worse. They have mice running through the walls, roaches, and there are a million cats in the community. I have been here a year and I have had a mouse problem, a roach problem, children have broken my window with rocks just playing outside, oh- and at this very moment, there is a big hole in my ceiling but the maintenance line is off. Not to mention they just increased the rent. So, with that being said, I would say that this is probably the cheapest place around but you get what you pay for....nothing. Don't do it, too many issues and you will never feel comfortable. I am leaving this month.....

I just moved out of the midrise last year! It is a mess, It was fine when I first started out but then the mice came, the air conditioning went out and it was damn near 100 degrees outside! Too many ------ hanging out in the hallways, and on top of that I've had someone try to pry my door open while I was home on the 5th floor in building 1300! So take my advice find somewhere else to live for your own safety and peice of mind!!
