I ALSO THINK THAT DONCASTER APARTMENTS ARE NOT WORTH ANYONES MONEY. I LIVED THERE FOR 3 YEARS AND RENT WENT FROM 615 TO 723 FOR A ONE BEDROOM. WE FINALLY MOVED OUT TO A BETTER REMODELED 2 BEDROOM APARMTENT FOR 815 A MONTH. THE LEASING OFFICE IS SO RUDE NOW!!! PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

I live in the building where the shooting occured. I've lived at Doncater for several years, and what happended is out of character for the complex and the neighborhood. It doesn't matter where you live: Towson, White Marsh, Hunt Valley or Columbia...crime will follow you. No community is immune from criminal activity; however you can be vigilant by paying attention to your surroundings and your neighbors. Doncaster does not accept section 8 and does a baackground check of the residents when they apply. The applicants must sign a waiver when they pay the application fee. This is standard procedure at most apartments. I would like to know if any of the residential homes in my area are accepting section 8??

It sounds like someone in the leasing office is posting the comments about crime following you and being vigilant. It sounds just like the letter all the residents received after the shooting. I've lived in Doncaster for almost a year and I loved it! But, after the recent shooting I will be moving out. There has been a lot of activity lately in Doncaster. About a month or 2 ago a SWAT team of 15 people jumped out of vehicles, with their bullet proof vests on and guns drawn, and ran into a building's on Shawnee Court. And I've also seen a lot of police in the area, which does not make me feel better. There is obviously a reason they are there.

You all should be happy of police presence in the area. This could be a welcomed deterrent to crime. I intend to move in this month in the court where the shooting happened and hope that this sort of thing does not become a trend. I have ridden through the complex in the day time and it seems harmless, but the creeps come out at night. I pray that my experience here is a good one. Never lived in an apt setting. This will definitely be an experience.
