The anonymous individual posting "Shooting not a reflection of the community nor the complex" must be management. It sounds just like the letter the residents received after the shooting. It is true that crime is everywhere, but when it happens in your backyard it makes you rethink.

I've lived in Doncaster for almost a year and I loved it! It was very quiet. But, after the recent shooting I will be moving out. There has been a lot of activity lately in Doncaster Village. About a month or 2 ago a SWAT team of 15 people jumped out of vehicles, with their bullet proof vests on and guns drawn, they ran into a building on Shawnee Court. And I've also seen a lot of police in the area, which does not make me feel better. There's obviously a reason they are there. I've seen suspicious people standing/sitting outside late (after 11pm) on the corners of the entrances of Doncaster. The lighting in the parking lots is very poor.

Lastly, I don't understand their per policy. Sometimes they allow dogs and sometimes they don't. I see several people in the community with dogs. And also with puppies that they just got. I guess it is not an Equal Opportunity Housing like they state.

The original writer of this is ridicolous. You tellng me you are going to move everyime crime happens around you? Wow. It must be nice to have the money to move once a year. It made you "rethink"?? Now what will you think about? Moving to the moon....because thats the ONLY place crime wil not follow you.

I have lived in several apartment communities in Baltimore City and Baltimore County and never once have I been subjected to someone getting shot at 4 times and a SWAT time running into a building. You might think this is an isolated insistent, but what if is was not, what if they were waiting to rob anyone that came out that morning. All I am saying is to be careful and that I don't fell comfortable living here any longer. Just because I feel like that doesn't mean anyone else does - that is why this is my opinion. Thanks for your response. It is nice to know that people actually read and give input on this site.
