I'd rather live in HELL!!!

Okay, I left DUMP VILLAGE after 3 years of residency. At first it was okay, but it has done a complete turn around over my time there. While the area still looks clean, this place is a total DUMP. The sewer lines are always backing up, inside, and outside the houses(which I won't completly blame them, Baltimore does have a pretty bad sewer system EVERYWHERE). The sewer caps in each court did leak far too often, for comfortability, SAFETY!!! Don't even think about trying to do your laundry in the high priced laundry facility, becuase it burns down every three months...
I've never had any problems with rodents, but there roaches were so bad, they were living outside in underground nests...(real discovery channel stuff). We actualy had to break into a house in our court and bomb the roaches out, becuase the tenants were filthy, and they would not send an exterminator in there, to my neighbors houses, or to my house(my neighbors were very clean units. But, even after we did that, the roaches were walking right past the fogger cans like they weren't even there. Horrible. Moving right along...
I've also been robbed by three juveniles, witnessed a drunk guy leaving the club at the end of the block ram his car into two parked cars, and then pull off after checking his bumper. When the police finally arrived, they claimed they couldn't go down the street to where the guys car finally broke down, becuase it was "Out of his jurisdiction." So, if you call the police, they don't know whether to send city or county police because it's right on the city/county border line.
My dog got killed by a hit and run driver, oh and speaking of my dog... When I went to the leasing office and tried to register him, they told me "Don't Worry about it, you're okay." Then they tried to evict me for having an illegal dog on the premesis, when in fact my original lease had no breed restrictions, just a 45 pound weight limit, and my dog weighed in at 43. So, since they switched to new management they tried to pull new rules, but they couldn't because I was "grandfathered" into my lease. Yeah, good try Dutch...
There is absolutely far too little parking, there are 12 homes in each court on the Perring Manor side, and only 8 parking spots... Yeah, judgement was a little cloudy on making that call...
The only noise issue was the ignorant passer-byers who walk through the neighborhood screaming at the top of their lungs into loud and obnoxious Nextels...LOL... But hey, what can we do about that''' My neighbors were quiet, if anything they probably could complain about me...LOL
The only construction complaint was that the city needs to pave the roads in the neighborhood, and that it's unsafe for the trailers to park up and down Perring Manor Rd. Post a sign Dutch...
Oh, let's not forget about the fact that I didn't have A/C for an entire summer, which drew groundwater out of some condensation line connected to the A/C. So, when that happened, I had a 3 1/2 foot mildew spot in the middle of my living room, and in the same week, my toilet, tub, and bathroom sink backed up with 6-8 inches of sludge making it smell just perfect in my house. So, while I didn't have A/C, the come out and fix my furnace, because that made perfect sense right. Lets fix the heater in the middle of the hot summer... Anyway, so when the actually came out to install the carpet, they gave me no notice, and three people who spoke no English what so ever, who by the way were driving an unmarked van in the parking lot, enter my apartment, while I'm asleep. They dropped my roomates computer, and I had to call out of work so that I could supervise the work, so nothing came up missing, or stolen... Ridiculous...
The staff were very dull, and didn't have a clue. When I got married, I tried to transfer to a two bedroom, the tried to pull my credit again, make me pay a new deposit, and a transfer fee, all on top of my first months rent for the new unit... What ever happened to reviewing my rent history for the past year, and only charging me the transfer fee, and first months rent. Then applying my old deposit to the new unit after the inspect my old one... That's how it's done right' Why would I pay almost $2000 to stay in the same place, when I could get a much better place after my time there was up'
