Update 5/28: Some repairs have been done. Others have not. I have informed Carole of the definite repairs that need to be done before I move in on Monday. Mostly, I'd like a shower that works the way it's supposed to. (To point out to one of the commenters, Carole didn't ask that I didn't use her name. She just demanded to know why I used her name and not my own. Thanks for the advice on filling holes, I'll definitely do that. I'm just glad I have two fairly experienced mousers coming with me (though they're more likely to bat them around to death than to actually eat them). I was glad to hear on another post that renters had protested outside of the leasing office last year. Since the mice are a serious issue, a petition to corporate might help things along. It's nice to know people are really serious about the situation (on the tenant side) and not just "oh well, nothing will get better" about the problem.))
Original post: When I moved in I was guaranteed that the problems I noticed before moving in would be fixed- namely faulty and broken cabinetry, exposed wires protruding from the wall, broken shower, non-functioning dishwasher, missing window screens, untacked carpet, etc. Upon signing the lease I was told that they were already fixed. I found out that they weren't as soon as I walked in the door. All of my issues were noted on the move in report. When I handed in the move in report, I was again guaranteed that everything would be fixed. After a few weeks, when still nothing had been done, I spoke to Carol the property manager who told me quite nastily that all repairs they wre going to do had already been done. On close inspection, none of the repairs I had requested had been done. I made an appointment with Carol to discuss these issues in person hoping that her attitude would improve face-to-face. When I arrived for my appointment(for which I rearranged my schedule) I was told that she would be out of the office for the next 5 hours at a regular managers meeting. Some of the repairs requested are safety issues and county code violations. I have not moved into the aprtment because of it, but continue to pay rent faithfully for an unsafe empty apartment which the manager refuses to fix because "It's an old building."

If she doesn't want her name used she should start doing her job. I am glad to see that residents are protesting and taking ownership of this community. It was fairly nice back in the 90s. The problem with apartments is that people just move when something goes wrong...hopefully caring residents will prod this management into making this a worthwhile community. The mice are absolutely inexcusable and a health hazard.

I recently made an appointment to see a two bedroom apartment at Towson Crossing. I took off from work to go look at apartments. I spoke with a leasing consultant who stated I was being placed in the book at 3pm. I arrived at Towson Crossing to see a two bedroom apt. and hopefully sign my new lease. OMG, was I disappointed. When I arrived at the leasing office there was nobody there to help me. The girl sitting at the desk stated she did not work at that office anymore and was just filling in. I was advised that the leasing agent who sat up the appt. decided to just take the day off and did not take the time to reschedule his appts. I was then directed to the (I think) property manager name Carol who was very nasty. That was my turn off right there. She told me I would need to reschedule my appt. for another day. I told her I had taken off from work and could not reschedule. I asked her if she could help me since she was the property manager. I figured she should be able to help me or at least find someone on her staff to help me. She stated, we don't have any two bedroom apts. to show you at this time and I said you need to reschedule. She said she was going to lunch and left out of the leasing office. I was left standing in towson crossing leasing office looking like a damn fool. I will most definitely not be moving there or refering anyone there. I have began writing my letter to corporate making them aware of this problem and letting them know they lost out on a good future resident because of poor management. Hopefully I will get a response back or something will be done so nobody else has to go through what I wnet through. It was a terrible experience. Carol fat ass needs to be dealt with before towson crossing loses more residents and dont gain any new ones. From a scale of 1-10, customer service there gets a 1.
