Great place, quiet and nicely located

First off, let me say that I don't work for the apartment complex, but this will sound like an ad.
I've lived here for a couple of months after moving out of a horrible complex in Annapolis (Avalon Landing, don't live there). I live on the second of two floors and the vaulted ceilings really add a lot to the atmosphere. The thing I noticed the most was how quiet the place is. Well, sort of...the unit I'm in (and the entire complex) is surrounded by some pretty busy streets, so if traffic bothers you, then you might want to try some other place. It isn't bad as it's just highway noise and something you get used to after a few days. Only the occasional loud truck is something I notice now. I've never heard a peep from my neighbors and with my surround sound, I thought it might be an issue. Rule of thumb: if you can hear them, they can hear you and vice-versa. I moved from the South, so the rent is a bit higher than I'm used to, but for what I'm paying - I'm pretty impressed.
Parking isn't an issue, there's plenty of open spots and since there aren't assigned parking places, you don't have to worry about getting a note on your windshield should you park in another place.
About the only thing negative I could think to say is that some of the surrounding streets seem a bit dicey. I never fear for my safety, but then again I wouldn't go for a nice walk at 2:00 in the morning either! The front office is nice, though they've been a bit slow with a couple of my requests; then again they weren't "life and death", so I probably didn't take precedence. Once I alerted them of the issue, they took care of it.
I can't really think of anything else to say. The appliances, not often used by me, are a few years old, but work nonetheless. The places have a very solid foundation and the "little things" like ceiling fans in the rooms and lights in the rooms (you'd be surprised how many places don't have room lights) make it a lot more like home.
Also, this is very centrally-located, you're about 20 minutes away from Downtown Baltimore and 20 minutes away from Annapolis. So, either way you go, you have something to do. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a moderately-priced place.
