I came to visit this propert on 03/07/2009 for the first time and absolutely fell in love with it. I actually visited twice-1 day apart at different times to see if there would be any variance in what I initially saw and there wasn't. Infact, I was more impressed. I'm considering relocating to the area with my employer and am considering this one as a prime candidate. If I decide to go on with the move and move here, I will update my review.....
I only met with Rachel, the leasing specialist, and she was as sweet as pie and very helpful!
Positives:
FREE ALARM SYSTEM (of course built into the price of the rental, but nice to have, especially if from an outside area and you aren't overly familiar with the area)
Telecom-can't see anyone, but to hear who's at your door before you answer is priceless!
$600k houses up the road!-If those nice of homes are within walking distance, that says a lot for an apartment complex
Convenience to everything-especially Trader Joes, Barnes and Nobles, Petsmart and Ross-who doesn't want those close by'
Dead smack off 695-easy commuting
24/7 workout facility
Stone-bottom exterior may help with renters insurance quotes since it is not all vinyl siding
The conveniece of having a garage is awesome during bad rain and snow. No rusting car, scraping ice off in the mornings, or wet hair carrying bags indoors
Baltimore Co. has cheaper withholding tax from your pay check-so that helps that this is in a nicer area in the County but outside the City of Baltimore
Full size washer and dryer
Multiple shelving units and cubbies in every room makes for excellent storage, especially if downsizing from a 2 story home
The grounds were very nicely kept as were the 2 vacant units I saw.
Negatives:
The parking seems to be a little tight if you were to have 2-3 different cars over to visit at once, so no weekly dinner parties unless you have a 2 car garage and guest leave together
The living rooms are kind of tight too, but workable
The Turquine model is convenient to have a tv niche cut out in the wall, but it is built for big tube tvs and doesn't fit well for today's modern flat screens so I would venture to say that you'd still need a small lift of some sort of tv stand inside the niche to make it work
Possibly more to come!
