We have lived in Owings Chase since Oct 04. When we moved here there were things in the apartment that still needed to be fixed, which was addressed prior to move in and we were promised that they would be taken care of before we moved in, lie #1. It took 8 months for them to fix somethings and the other things we pretty much gave up on since we are planning on moving out anyway. The walls are so thin that we could here the people upsatirs do everything from flush the toilet to roll over in bed. You can even hear a baby crying. Kids hang out ouside all day long from ages 4 to 9. The leasing office may not be able to control that but a memo should have been sent out advising parents that there responsibilities continue even after birth. Our gas and electric went turned off two times, the first time we called emergency maintenance, the on call technician asked a milion and one questions about the problem so that he wouldn't have to come out to the apartment, he even said it was a gas and electric problem, which is was not. When he finally got here after three hours Surprise Suprise, the power came back on. He claimed gas and electric turned off the residents underneath of us power and ours by mistake, lie #2. When it happened a second time, we knew it was not gas and electric. The tech that came out that time then told us there was a short in the circuit breaker and it needed to be replaced. Because i am a leasing agent I am aware that all apartments have there faults BUT THIS IS RIDICULOUS. It's been a long year and I am ready to go. We moved here because it was within our budget, now we see that it is true, you do get what you pay for. And in this case we paid more than what is was worth. We did have a new kitchen but only because it caught on fire when the previous residents were here. Hopefully we will be buying a house soon.

I second all your thoughts here. Not only will the rental office make excuses for there short comings... I am at the end of my lease and I was asked a stupid question... "did you enjoy your stay" I thought the rental agent was on some type of narcotic!
