St. Charles at Olde Court

I moved into St. Charles at Olde Court about two months ago and am fairly pleased. The apartments are spacious and very modern. The master bedroom is huge with a large walk-in closet to match. It is a very quiet and peaceful community.

Ok I don't think youre living in the same complex as I am. Yes the apts are big (though management are --------), but the community is far from peaceful. Kids run around any paved surfaces (not the playgrounds, mind you) screaming at the top of their lungs, like they weren't raised with any SENSE...there is an ice cream truck that sits outside the window blaring its irritating music all weekend in the summer...in the past month there have been 2 police involved incidents in my building alone, one of which blocked residents' access to their own building one night (after I finally got to my building I heard gun shots)...there is a police helicopter that searches the parking lot outside my bedroom window at least once a month AND shines its light in my apt (this is usually after midnight)...and now there are section eight screamers living upstairs yelling on the stairs how they are going to beat their kids' a$$ if they don't do what they say...there are teenagers constantly roaming the grounds, especially at night in the STREET (YOU have to avoid hitting THEM...God forbid they actually move), who will sometimes crawl on your car to take pictures of themselves if your car looks any better than the bucket of bolts they drive...and there is a myriad of cars with tinted windows and rims, BLARING the latest "Lil' Wayne" monstrosity down the street while speeding. This community has REALLY gone downhill since I moved in 3 years ago, as has the area in general, which is why I can't WAIT until my lease is up. There is police activity constantly at the satellite school down the street. The whole area is full of section 8 rejects that have NO courtesy, NO respect and have no idea how to drive. If this is what you call peaceful, you must be used to living in the city. This is NOT peaceful for suburbia.

Ummm wow let me first just say that St. Charles is a wonderful community. And to the person who's response is below mines...are you kidding me??? Lol, wouldn't you agree that your being a tad bit dramatic? As far as the kids...yes there are kids here who ride their bikes and skateboard in the parking lots. They can't ride at the playground, because there's grass and dirt. And yes there is a ice cream truck that comes on the weekends, that the children like to buy ice cream from. And what the heck is wrong with that? And as far as people blaring loud music from their vehicles, that does happen every once in awhile, but it's not a major issue. This community IS NOT full of ghetto section 8 people or anything of the sort. And all that crap about the police frequenting our community is bogus! Where do you live? St. Charles is a lovely gated community that offers superior living. If you don't like it...move. And for it to be so bad, why would you stay for three years???? Stop complaining.

I am inclined to agree with the 7/8/07 posting!!! I have been living here for almost two years and this has been by far my BEST apartment experience in the Baltimore area! The staff is wonderful! From the ladies in the leasing office, to the gate staff to the maitenance people, I have met so many nice people and have never been treated with anything less than the utmost respect. As for the neighbors, perhaps it depends on your building, but I've found all of mine to be considerate and consciencious of the fact that we live in this building together. Yes, there are kids that hang out in the parking lots and playgrounds, but they are not rude, and they are NOT hurting anybody or anything. I have seen the police show up at my building once or twice, but I've never experienced anything like gun shots or late night helicopter raids!!! My neighbors keep to themselves, but are polite when I see them in passing! One of my neighbors (one of the younger men that the first respondant was probably complaining about) even helped me move in my TV! Kids will be kids and if you can't take it, then perhaps you should go to a 55 community where children aren't allowed. For the rest of us back on planet Earth, we enjoy the reasonable rent and the spacious apartments!!!
