I was the person (volunteer) brought in to help with the feral cat situation at Brenbrook Apts., and I've trapped, neutered, and returned all but three cats (which will get spayed or neutered soon). The cats at Brenbrook Apt. are no longer reproducing. The colony size will go down naturally over time, and in the meantime, the cats are vaccinated and cared for humanely. These cats are also doing a great job of killing rats and mice which are so common in the city. I spoke with many residents at the complex and there are multiple feeders in the apartment complex and many residents who enjoy having these cared for cats on the premises. Through no fault of their own, these cats are on their own without loving families. It is up to the community to care for them humanely. Brenbrook Apartments is their home. Due to the responsibility of people at Brenbook Apts., these cats are now vaccinated and neutered or spayed. The majority of the cats do reside near Buildings 15 & 17. If you love cats, ask for an apt. in Bldg. 15 or 17. If you hate cats, ask for any of the other buildings. Simple solution.

"Setting the record straight on the stray cats at Brenbrook Apts"
There's a lot of residents that are afraid of these stray cats. Why can't these stray cats be taken to the local animal shelter? When I signed my lease 4 yrs ago, I was not told that stray cats reside in Brenbrook Apts' parking lots and sit on residents' cars to keep warm in the winter months. Had I been told that, I would not have taken an apt in bldg 17! So, it's not such a simple solution...
